The Southwood Golf & Country Club, Manitoba’s oldest golf course (established 1894), is the premier private club in south Winnipeg. Southwood has a long and distinguished history and an even more exciting future.

Our current location at 101 Markham Road has served the Club well for over 85 years but, like every great lady, is showing its age. After a great deal of soul searching, research and discussion, Club members decided, in the spring of 2007, to sell the current course to the University of Manitoba and to move forward with a new site in St. Norbert. This new location, adjacent to the historic Ruines des Monastère, is an 18 hole course designed by renowned Canadian Architect Thomas McBroom. The vision of the members together with the new design and room for an additional nine holes in the future will ensure Southwood’s continued historic legacy of excellence and achievement through this century and beyond.
